Biggi Hilmars is an Icelandic composer & artist, who has developed a distinctive, haunting, provocative, original music style, blending classical, electronic, ambient, avant-garde and popular influences. In addition to being a multi-instrumentalist, his distinctive voice soars and glides effortlessly throughout the beautifully orchestrated piano, strings and mesmerizing guitar textures.

Recent commissions include original score to Thomson’s ‘Moments’ ad campaign, which he recorded at Abbey Road Studios with the London Chamber Orchestra. Biggi also scored the music for the movie ‘Beeba Boys’ by Academy Award Nominee Deepa Mehta, ‘I Smile Back’ official movie trailer starring Sarah Silverman, ’Far From the Madding Crowd’ official movie trailer, documentary film ‘Impact, ‘Olive Kitteridge’ official trailer for SKY, BBC feature documentary film ʻMy Brother the Ark Raider’ by Jonathan Carr, Ridley Scott’s ‘How I Live Now’ and ‘Christmas in a Day’ movie trailers and commercials for IBM, Mercedes Benz and Chevrolet.

Can I use your music in my film?

All synchronisation requests need legal approval by the artist and its management. Please contact management@biggihilmars.com and we will get in touch with you. If your film is not for commercial use then the music may be available for free but you still need a legal license.

Where can I buy your CDs?

‘All We Can Be’ album is available as Limited Edition digipack CDs here Other titles are currently sold out as CDs, but can be purchased in various formats (mp3 to full quality WAVs) from our online digital store and from all other major digital distributors (iTunes, Amazon and more).
